About Kayseri Archeology Museum
A chronological arrangement was introduced in order to exhibit the works in the museum, which consists entirely of archaeological artifacts. The artifacts are exhibited in the Archeology Museum in Kayseri Castle, which was built in the 3rd century during the Roman period and collapsed in the Byzantine era in the 6th century.
In the hall, there are artifacts, burial gifts, Urnas and Herakles sarcophagus found in Kayseri region belonging to Byzantine, Roman and Hellenistic ages. In the garden section, marble sculptures, sarcophagi and large jars made of terracotta, also belonging to Byzantine, Roman and Hellenistic periods, are presented in the exhibition.
The museum also exhibits weapons, tiles, handwriting, mines, rugs, women's and men's clothing, ornaments and jewelry belonging to the Turkish culture that reflect the characteristics of the Kayseri region.
