About Hasbek Kadi Cupola
It is located in the center of Kayseri, on the hospital street. The octagonal cupola on the square-shaped base is covered with an inner dome and an outer pyramidal cone.
The upper floor of the two-storey building is entered through a simple rectangular door opening to the north facade. There is a pointed arched pediment on the door. The octagonal planned interior is crowned with a dome. There is a plaster altar on the Qibla wall. Four rectangular windows illuminating the interior have been turned into twin arched exterior windows.
The cupola, completely covered with smooth cut stone, is a plain-looking structure. On the outside, each edge of the body is actuated by gradual round arch moldings. Inside, the muqarnas caval plaster mihrab, which attracts attention with its column headed vases, has been heavily destroyed.
The work undergoing repair is intact today. According to his inscription, the cupola, built in the name of Mes'ûd Gülzâr Ali, was probably built by his relatives after the death of the person (1184-1185).
