Avgunlu Madrasa

The madrasah located in the city center, near the madrasah known as the Giyasiiye Healing, located in the Orta Mahallesi XIII. It is a Seljuk monument built in the 16th century. The madrasah, also known as “Havuz Madrasa”, is made entirely of cut stones; It has two large iwans and a courtyard with a portico. the madrasa was built openly.

Avgunlu Madrasa is a rectangular building with a width of 15x22 meters. The entrance of the madrasah is at its west-facing door. A small rectangular courtyard passes through the entrance vault, and the courtyard is expanded to the right and left of each with an iwan. The iwan on the right passes to the mummy part of the tomb in the corner, and the iwan on the left passes to another iwan that opens vertically from the corner. There is a room between the iwan on the left and the entrance iwan. Likewise, there is a staircase leading up to the roof in this area.

Today, it serves as a book outlet.
