About Ali Cafer Cupola

Ali Cafer Cumbeti is opposite the Melikgazi District mayoral building in the city center of Kayseri. There is no information on the exact date of construction as it does not have an inscription. Halil Edhem, in his work” Kayseri City", showed this work among the Seljuk works. However, Albert Gabriel in his work "Kayseri monuments" by looking at the entrance style of the entrance door of this building 14. it states that it may have been made in the mid-century. In this period, the rule of Kayseri is in the hands of the Eratnians.

As in many shrines, their trunks were taken or stolen.

It is an octagonal planned work resting on a square pedestal. Its upper cover is again in the form of a pyramid with eight sides. A round dome covers the hall with eight sides from the inside. Outside the building, underneath the eaves is a cluster of verses from the Qur'an “Amen'er Messenger”.

There is a mummyal under this structure which is also used as a masjid and an octagonal planned Masjid with a rectangular entrance room at the top. This cluster is made of cut stone and has a very simple appearance. The entrance door is decorated with geometric embroideries. This suggests a plan to the depth of the gate. On it is inscribed a verse taken from Surat al-Baqara. A niche was created in the interior of the door and it was covered with a mukarnassus Half Dome.

There are three windows on three sides of the Tomb, each of which shows a different shape. The window opposite the entrance door was made more careful than the others.
