    Arrive early in Soğanlı Valley and watch hot-air balloons drift up between the fairy chimneys as the sunrise colours the valley.

    Walk through the valley, inhabited between the 10th and 13th centuries, and see the frescoes of the Domed Church, the Tahtalı (St Barbara) Church and the Snake Church.

    Soğanlı Valley is about 50–55 minutes by car from central Kayseri.

  • Walking

    Wear comfortable, non-slip shoes for the uneven ground.

    Balloon flights depend on the weather and take place around 06:00–07:00; check before you go.
