About Seven Lakes

Hundreds of lakes are formed as the snow melts. The waters of 7 of these lakes never decrease. The depth of one of these lakes is 80 meters. It is known as 'Yedigöller' because of the 7 lakes that do not dry out. It is also stated that the Kapuzbaşı Waterfalls are fed by the melting snow waters in the Yedigöller Region. The most important part of the Taurus Aladaglar National Park together with the Hacer Forest and Kapuzbasi Team Waterfalls is the 'Yedigoller', the highest and widest plateau of Aladaglar.

Because of the physical geography is one of Turkey's most important hiking area. The average floor height is 3100 m. Yedigöller, losing its altitude from Hacer Strait to the east, extends to Hacer Valley and Forest and from there to Kapuzbaşı Waterfalls. Kayseri Yahyalı township Seven Lakes, one of the places where Turkey's most beautiful landscapes in the all-around dozens of peaks, the mountain-glacial lakes, alpine plants, wildlife, glaciers and ice cliffs, reveals a unique landscape in July. The number of lakes reaches 80 in the first week of July. As the snow melts and decreases, autumn blooms in the second spring. Then the snow melts and Aladaglar becomes Montenegro. Yahyalı district is 60-70 km. Yedigöller, which is at a distance, is reached after a 6-7 hour hike from Hacer Forest, Ulupınar village. All of these lakes are fed with snow and glacial waters.

This wonderful piece of nature in the south of Yahyalı expresses a very strong potential value in terms of transhumance, glacier and rock climbing, trekking, paragliding, camping ground, balloon activities and tourism economy.
