Yeşilhisar

Yeşilhisar, which means "Develi Karahisar" or "Zencibar" which means "Karahisar" during the Seljuk period, is "Kyzistra" during the Byzantine period (Hild 1977). Kyzistra witnesses wars between Arabs and Byzantines in the 9th century. With its Soğanlı, Edemli valleys, Keşlik rock settlement area, castle, hundreds of birds, Sultan Sazlığı is a very beautiful district both naturally and historically with Soğanlı Dolls.
