Sarız

The history of the district is very old. It dates back to the 700s BC. Cilicia, the Byzantine Empire, and the Dulkadiroğulları Principality, were ruled by the Ottoman Empire, and were included in the Ottoman Empire during the reign of Yavuz Sultan Selim. The handicraft, eye rugs and handicrafts of our Sarız district are famous.
